The PTFE tapes (PTFE, also better known as Teflon) lie over the welding wire and prevent the hot polymer from adhering to the welding jaws during the welding process.
The non-stick effect of Teflon begins to degrade from about 1,750 welds.
In order to maintain the quality of the welds, the two belts must be replaced. The change can be easily carried out by yourself.
