The system detects the trailer’s pendulum movements via a lateral acceleration sensor and intervenes automatically before the combination can swing up. If the tolerance range is exceeded, Bowden cables operate the wheel brakes, which stretches and stabilises the combination. The solution is suitable for AL-KO single-axle chassis with a permissible trailer weight of 1,301-1,500 kg and requires a minimum vehicle weight of 1,000 kg.Installation and operationRetrofitting is possible for all AL-KO chassis built from 1998 onwards and should be carried out by authorized dealers. The system is connected to the distribution box of the trailer and performs an automatic operating check when plugged in. A green LED on the start-up device indicates operational readiness, while horizontal installation ensures optimum installation space and ground clearance.Braking effect and maintenanceBraking is gentle and noticeable to the driver without activating the brake lights. No further maintenance is required after installation. It is not possible to connect to a 7-pin plug
